Reginald M. Fountain

REGinald M. FOUNTAIN JR., President, CEO and Chairman of the Board of
Fountain Powerboats, Inc., founded Fountain Powerboats, Inc. in 1978.
Mr. Fountain, a world-renowned boat racer and designer, established his
company utilizing the latest marine technology to build the world’s
premier offshore boats. Under Mr. Fountain’s direction, Fountain
Powerboats, Inc., has become a leader in the marine industry and the
dominating force in the world of high performance boating. With his
knowledge of advanced hull design he has led the company into the fish
boat and cruiser markets. Mr. Fountain earned a business degree from the
University of North Carolina in 1962. He earned a Law degree, also from
the University of North Carolina, in 1965. He passed the North Carolina
Bar Exam in 1967. Prior to founding Fountain Powerboats, Inc. Mr.
Fountain was an Estate Planner for the Northwestern Mutual Life Company
earning himself a lifetime membership at the Million Dollar Roundtable.
He also became a real estate investor who continues to own multiple
rental apartment complexes and a retail strip mall. Mr. Fountain began
his racing career in 1954 at the young age of 14. Throughout his
illustrious career, he won an unprecedented Five World Championships,
seven National Championships and set seven World Speed Records. In
addition, he became one of the few elite drivers to notch 100 career
wins.
