Philip F. Maritz

PHILIP F. MARITZ, founded Maritz Properties in 1990, a commercial real
estate development and investment firm. In 1992 he co-founded Maritz,
Wolff & Co., which manages the Hotel Equity Fund, a private equity
investment fund. Mr. Maritz serves as Chairman of the Board of Rosewood
Hotels & Resorts. He received a Bachelor of Arts degree from Princeton
University, majoring in Art and Archaeology, with a further focus on the
study of Architecture. He attended the Stanford Business School where he
received his MBA degree with an emphasis on real estate and finance. Mr.
Maritz’ work experience includes periods with AT&T in San Francisco,
California; a position in real estate finance at Morgan Stanley & Co. in
New York City; and several years with Spieker Properties, a San
Francisco area real estate development and investment company. Mr.
Maritz serves on several not-for-profit Boards and he is also a
Corporate Director of Wolff-DiNapoli, a Los Angeles-based investment and
development firm.
