Paul Dermody

PAUL DERMODY is chief executive of De Vere Group plc (formerly Greenalls). Paul joined the company in 1963, beginning his career as a trainee accountant, progressing to finance director of De Vere Hotels, deputy chairman of De Vere Hotels, and chief executive of Premier House and Village Leisure Hotels. Paul was appointed to managing director of Greenalls Hotels & Leisure and director of The Greenalls Group Plc in 1997, and as chief executive of the De Vere Group Plc in February 2000. Pauls declared mission is to make his Group the first choice for business and leisure for middle and upper market customers. He says that his willingness to listen, whether to clients, colleagues or customers, is one of the most useful personal qualities he brings to his job.
Paul is married with two children. Outside his busy working life he is a school governor, a choir member and a keen swimmer.
