PATRICK CHIDLEY, CFA, is a mining analyst with Barnard Jacobs Mellet
(USA) LLC, a New York based broker specializing in global mining stocks
as well as the South African market. In addition to coverage of North
American gold stocks, the company also covers South African gold,
platinum and diversified mining stocks. Mr. Chidley is a graduate of the
Royal School of Mines in London with a degree in Mining Geology. He
also holds a Master’s degree in Mineral Economics from The Pennsylvania
State University. Prior to his current position, he has worked as a
geologist in the South African mining industry in addition to working in
commodities research, investment banking and as an analyst with USAA
Investment Management.
