Pascal Brandys

PASCAL BRANDYS has been Chief Executive Officer of Genset S.A. since he
cofounded it in 1989 and Chief Executive Officer of Genset Corporation
(La Jolla, CA) since its founding in 1992. Prior to founding Genset,
from 1986 to 1989, Mr. Brandys was a venture capitalist managing
technology and biotechnology investments worldwide, first as Managing
Director of a venture capital fund in Tokyo and then as Partner of
Eurocontinental Ventures in London. Since 1997, Mr. Brandys is President
of France Biotech, the association of French biotechnology companies.
Mr. Brandys is a graduate from the Ecole Polytechnique, has an M.S. in
Civil Engineering from the Ecole Nationale des Ponts & Chaussees and an
M.S. in Economic Systems from Stanford University.
