Mike Salas

MIKE SALAS is a co-founder, President and CEO of Layer N Networks. Mike
has had a successful career in developing, marketing, and managing
complex semiconductor products. Prior to founding Layer N in March 2000,
he was with PMC which, in 1994, became subsequently known as PMC-Sierra
oversee the growth of the company from its original R&D roots, to its
present form as a dominant manufacturer of high-speed, high-density
broadband communications semiconductor architectural solutions with over
$694M in revenues in 2000. Prior to PMC-Sierra, he was with Texas
Instruments where he held various management and technology positions,
the most recent of which was Program Manager for TI’s IEEE 1394/Firewire
initiative. He holds a BSEE from the University of Texas at Austin.
