Michael Liccardo

MICHAEL LICCARDO is Chairman, President and Chief Executive Officer of
Amnis Systems Inc. (formerly Optivision, Inc.), a leading streaming
digital video communications and networking company. Mr. Liccardo brings
over 25 years of high technology marketing, operations, and financial
management experience to his position. Mr. Liccardo joined Amnis Systems
in June 1997 as Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer. He
was named to his present post in February 1998. Prior to Amnis, Mr.
Liccardo served as Vice President, Business Development at Cirrus Logic,
the world’s largest fabless semiconductor company. While at Cirrus, he
held two other key executive positions, including Vice President,
Strategic Planning, and Vice President and General Manager of the
company. Previously, he held the position of Chief Operating Officer at
Scientific Micro Systems, where he completed several corporate
acquisitions and successfully led the company to an initial public
offering (IPO). Mr. Liccardo also served as a member of the Board at
BusLogic. He holds both Master and Bachelor of Science degrees in
Electrical Engineering from the University of California at Berkeley,
and a Master’s degree in Business Administration from Stanford
University.
