Mento A. Soponis

MENTO A. (CHUCK) SOPONIS is President and Chief Executive Officer of
Oragenics, Inc. He lead a startup company based on two patented
technologies licensed from the University of Florida and one company-
owned technology. The company was financed through a private placement,
followed by an IPO on the TSX Venture Exchange. Mr. Soponis was Chairman
of Ivigene Corporation, from 2000 to 2002. He consulted with the Office
of Technology Licensing, University of Florida in 2000. He was President
and CEO of USBiomaterials Corporation from 1995 to 1999, President and
CEO of Tm Bioscience Corporation from 1992 to 1995, Executive Vice
President and COO of Therapeutic Peptides, Inc., from 1990 to 1992,
President and CEO of Meiogenics, Inc., from 1987 to 1990 and President
and CEO of Medical Diagnostics, Inc., from 1984 to 1986. He has an AB
degree from Princeton University, a JD with honors from the George
Washington Law School, and participated in the Senior Managers Program
at Harvard University.
