Mauro Faneschi

MAURO FANESCHI has been Chief Executive Officer of CALP SpA since the
30th of April 1988. He joined the company as Export Manager in 1970,
and from 1982 to 1997 was General Manager. He was a former researcher
in Carlo Erba in 1960, then in Montecatini, where he was the author of
two patents for acrylic resins. He joined the technical-sales department
of Montecatini in1964, and went on to work for Montedison. Mr Faneschi
also holds the position of Deputy Chairman of the Board of Banca Monte
dei Paschi di Siena since 1997 and is member of the Board of Directors
of Banca Toscana SpA since 1996. He is also a member of the Board of
Confindustria (Italian Industrial Federation). A member of Lions Club
Chianti, Mr Faneschi is married and has two children and a
granddaughter.
