Martin M. Schwartz

MARTIN M. SCHWARTZ joined Therma-Wave in August 1998 as President, Chief
Operating Officer and Director, and, since July 1999, has served as
Chief Executive Officer. Mr. Schwartz served as a Director, President
and Chief Executive Officer of Southwall Technologies Inc. from May 1994
to March 1998. From April 1988 to May 1994, he served as Vice President,
Operations of Southwall. From July 1974 to April 1988, Mr. Schwartz
served in various positions at Raychem Corporation, including Director
of Operations. From 1967 to 1974, he served in various positions at
Standard Oil of California. Mr. Schwartz holds a Bachelor of Science in
Engineering and a Master of Science in Chemical Engineering from Cornell
University and a Masters of Business Administration degree in Management
and Finance from California State University, San Francisco.
