Mark-Eric Jones

MARK-ERIC JONES is Vice President and General Manager of
Intellectual Property of Monolithic Systems Technology, Inc. With
more than 26 years of intellectual property (IP) and
semiconductor expertise, he brings a combination of strategic
insight and real-world experience to his leadership role at
MoSys. Backed by significant relationships and knowledge of the
IP business model, Mr. Jones manages MoSys’ corporate marketing
and sales activity for embedded memory IP to create industry
awareness and new business opportunities worldwide. Before
joining MoSys, Mr. Jones served as the IP Division director for
Mentor Graphics, responsible for developing and driving its IP
soft core business to profitability, while establishing an IP
Publishing strategy for the division. Leveraging strong
relationships, Mr. Jones created an IP property partnership
agreement between Mentor Graphics and Synopsys, resulting in
Synopsys endorsing Mentor Graphics’ IP products. As president and
chief executive officer of 3Soft, formerly known as MEJ
Electronics and since acquired by Mentor Graphics, he was
instrumental in transitioning the company from design services to
the world’s first silicon IP products business. 3Soft was the
result of a name change from Mr.Jones’ entrepreneurial creation,
MEJ Electronics, an electronic design services company in
England. Mr. Jones, a well-known pioneer in the industry, has
addressed the semiconductor market as an IP expert in a wide
variety of trade and business publications and has demonstrated
his technical knowledge through presentations and speaking
opportunities at worldwide trade events, in addition to serving
on the board of RAPID, an IP industry association. He has earned
his Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Science from Trinity College
and his Master’s degree also in Electrical Science from the
University of Cambridge, both in the United Kingdom.
