Mark Leslie

MARK LESLIE has served as Chief Executive Officer of VERITAS Software
Corp. since 1990 and as a director of the company since 1988. He was
recently appointed chairman. From 1989 until 1990, he was the Principal
and Owner of Leslie Consulting, a management consulting firm and from
1984 until 1989, he served as President and Chief Executive Officer of
Rugged Digital Systems, Inc., a computer manufacturer. Mr. Leslie is
also Chairman of the Board of Versant Object Technology Corporation, an
object-oriented database company. Mr. Leslie received a B.A. in Physics
and Mathematics from New York University in 1966 and completed Harvard
Business School’s Program for Management Development in 1980.
