Mark H. Bailey, President and CEO of Minefinders Corporation Ltd. has had a very
successful 30-year career in exploration, development and management in the
mining industry. His exploration expertise includes work throughout North
America, Latin America and overseas. He has served as Director, President and
CEO of Minefinders since 1995. Mr. Bailey is highly respected for his technical
competence and aptitude for maximizing the effectiveness of exploration and
development programs and budgets. He is a registered professional geologist in
Washington State and has professional affiliations with the Society of Economic
Geologists, Geological Society of America, Northwest Mining Association, BC
Chamber of Mines and the Prospectors and Developers Association of Canada. Mr.
Bailey has Master of Science and Bachelor of Science degrees in Geology from
Oregon State University and the University of Washington respectively
