M. P. Bakker

M.P. (PETER) BAKKER is Chairman and CEO of TPG NV, the holding
company of TNT and Royal TPG Post. Mr. Bakker started his career
in 1984 at TS Seeds Holdings BV. In 1991, he joined PTT Post
(from May 1, 2002, called Royal TPG Post), and in 1993 was
appointed Financial Director of its Parcels business unit. Two
years later, he transferred to the PTT Post Logistics business
unit, where he became Director of Marketing and Sales. In 1996,
Mr. Bakker was appointed Financial Control Director of PTT Post.
That same year, he headed the team that negotiated the successful
acquisition of TNT and GD Express Worldwide. Mr. Bakker was
nominated to the PTT Post Board of Management in 1997. In June
1998, PTT Post was demerged from Royal PTT Nederland NV. TPG NV
is now independently listed on the Amsterdam, New York, London
and Frankfurt stock exchanges. From the stock market listing, Mr.
Bakker was Chief Financial Officer and a member of the TPG Board
of Management. On November 1, 2001, he was appointed Chairman and
CEO.
