Lars Rebein Sorensen

LARS REBEIN SORENSEN is the Corporate Executive Vice President of Novo
Nordisk AS. Mr Sorensen is member of the company’s Corporate
Management, with special responsibility for Health Care. Mr Sorensen
joined Novo Nordisk’s Enzymes Marketing in 1982. Over the years he has
been stationed in several countries, including the Middle East and the
US, where he has been in charge of several reorganisations. In 1989, he
was appointed president, International Operations of the Bioindustrial
Group (BIG) of Novo Nordisk A/S, with overall responsibility for BIG’s
international sales and marketing activities. In January 1994, he was
stationed in the US to prepare the relocation of Novo Nordisk’s US
enzyme sales company from Connecticut to North Carolina. He was
appointed member of Corporate Management in May 1994 and to his present
position in December 1994. Lars Rebien Sorensen has a Master’s degree
in forestry from The Royal Danish Veterinary and Agricultural University
and a BSc in International Economics from The Copenhagen Business
School.
