KIM D. BLICKENSTAFF is President, Chief Executive Officer and co-founder
of Biosite Diagnostics, Inc., a leading provider of hand-held, rapid and
accurate diagnostic products. Prior to forming Biosite, Mr. Blickenstaff
held various positions with Hybritech Inc. in San Diego. During his five
years with Hybritech, he headed the sales and marketing efforts for
Hybritech’s successful ICON line of rapid immunodiagnostic products.
Prior to his position with Hybritech, he held various management
positions with The Christiana Companies Inc. in San Diego, National
Health Laboratories in La Jolla, Calif., and Baxter Travenol
Laboratories in Deerfield, Illinois. Mr. Blickenstaff serves on the
Board of Directors for Micro Therapeutics Inc., a publicly traded
healthcare company that develops minimally invasive devices for the
diagnosis and treatment of vascular diseases. He received his Master’s
degree in Business Administration from the Graduate School of Business
at Loyola University in Chicago. Mr. Blickenstaff also holds a
Bachelor’s degree in Political Science from Loyola and is a Certified
Public Accountant.
