Kenneth E. Lonchar

KENNETH E. LONCHAR has served as Chief Financial Officer and Senior Vice
President, Finance of VERITAS since January 1999. He is responsible for
the management and compliance of the companys corporate accounting,
financial reporting, strategic planning, treasury, tax, and investor
relations functions. Mr. Lonchar became Chief Financial Officer in April
1997 and served as Vice President, Finance of VERITAS from April 1997
until January 1999. Mr. Lonchar was Chief Financial Officer and Senior
Vice President of OpenVision from December 1995 until the Merger with
VERITAS in April 1997. Prior to joining OpenVision, Mr. Lonchar spent
seven years as the Senior Vice President, Finance and Administration and
Chief Financial Officer of Microtec Research, Inc., a publicly-traded
software company. Prior to joining Microtec Research, Mr. Lonchar held
senior financial an operational positions in high technology companies
such as Granger Associates and Symmetricom. Mr. Lonchar’s career began
at the public accounting firm of Coopers and Lybrand. Mr. Lonchar is a
member of the Board of Directors at Geoworks Corporation and two
privately held companies. Mr. Lonchar holds a Bachelor’s degree in
Accounting from Arizona State University and a Master’s degree in
Business Administration from Stanford University. He is a Certified
Public Accountant.
