Kees Storm

KEES STORM (58) has been Chairman of the Executive Board of the AEGON
Insurance Group since 1993. His managerial experience in the insurance
industry was built up over more than 22 years. He has been a member of
the executive board since AEGON was formed in 1983 as a result of a
merger of two Dutch insurers, AGO (a mutual company) and Ennia (a listed
company.) Since then he has played an important part in the rapid growth
and international expansion of the AEGON Group. Currently he is member
of several bodies. He is Chairman of the International Insurance Society
and he is member of the General Council of VNO-NCW (Dutch Employers
organization.) He has co-written a number of books on managerial issues
of which ‘Management with a smile’ highlights some of his distinctive
management tools as for example, wagering and the quality circle. Kees
Storm is married and has two children.
