John T. Sinnott

JOHN T. SINNOTT is Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Marsh
Inc., the parent company of the risk and insurance services
businesses of Marsh & McLennan Companies, Inc. He is also a
Director of MMC. Mr. Sinnott joined Marsh & McLennan in 1963. He
served in various capacities in the New York Office, culminating
with his appointment as a Senior Vice President in 1978. In 1979,
Mr. Sinnott moved to London as Manager of Marsh & McLennan
Limited. He returned to New York in 1980, was elected Executive
Vice President in 1984, President in 1988, co-Chief Executive
Officer in 1992 and President and Chief Executive Officer in
1995. He was appointed a Vice Chairman of J&H Marsh & McLennan
concurrent with the merger of Marsh & McLennan and Johnson &
Higgins in 1997. He added the responsibility of Chief Executive
Officer of J&H Marsh & McLennan in 1998 and assumed his current
duties in 1999 with the formation of Marsh Inc. Mr. Sinnott is a
Trustee of the American Institute for Property Casualty
Underwriters. Prior to joining Marsh & McLennan, Mr. Sinnott
served for two years on active duty as an officer in the U.S.
Navy. He is a graduate of Holy Cross College.
