John T. Schofield

JOHN T. SCHOFIELD has been President and Chief Executive Officer of
Thermatrix, Inc. since April, 1992, and Chairman of the Board since
December, 1993. He was responsible for taking the company public in June
of 1996. Mr. Schofield has held senior executive positions in the
environmental industry for over 20 years. Mr. Schofield holds a Bachelor
of Science degree with Honors in Chemistry from the University of
Manchester, England.
