John C. Cavalier

JOHN C. CAVALIER is President and Chief Executive Officer of MapInfo
Corporation. Prior to joining MapInfo, Mr. Cavalier was President and
CEO of the Antares Alliance Group, a Dallas-based application
development tool manufacturer jointly owned by EDS and Amdahl
Corporation. He has also served as Vice President and General Manager
for the Apple International division of Apple Computer, Inc.,
responsible for the Americas, Far East and Africa. At Apple, he was also
Vice President and General Manager of the Personal Computer Division. In
addition, Mr. Cavalier has held CEO positions at four other leading
software companies, and worked in general management, sales and
marketing positions at American Can Company. He received a Bachelor’s
degree from the University of Notre Dame and an M.B.A. from
Michigan State University.
