John Butler

JOHN BUTLER joined SG Cowen in 2000 to assume coverage of the optical
networking sector, including optical components and systems
manufacturers. Prior to joining SG Cowen, Mr. Butler was a Senior Equity
Analyst at Prudential Securities, where he covered optical networking
and telecom equipment vendors. Mr. Butler began his career in research
at Alex. Brown in 1993, covering the telecommunications equipment
sector. He holds an MBA from the Wharton School of Business and a BA in
Biology from Lafayette College.
