Jerry Swank founded The Swank Group in 2001 to capitalize on the MLP and Royalty Trust sectors. The group currently manages four strategies across six different hedge funds, and both of its investment advisers are SEC registered. Mr. Swank’s deep experience in equity and fixed income markets, as well as his expertise in the energy sector, make him uniquely qualified to oversee the group’s investment team. Prior to forming the firm, Mr. Swank spent five years with John S. Herold, Inc., where he served as Managing Director of the sales and new product development team from 1995 to 1998, later becoming President and CEO. Prior to joining Herold, Mr. Swank spent 14 years with CS First Boston in institutional equity and fixed income sales in the firm’s Dallas office. During the last 10 years of his time at First Boston, he was a First Boston Director and Southwestern Regional Sales Manager. Previously, Mr. Swank worked on the buy side for seven years as an Analyst and Portfolio Manager. Mr. Swank holds a B.A. in economics from the University of Missouri and an MBA from the University of North Texas. He has served on the boards of directors of John S. Herold, Inc., Matador Petroleum and Advantage Acceptance, Inc.
