Jeffrey E. Payne

JEFFREY E. PAYNE is President, CEO and co-Founder of Cigital Inc. Under
his direction, Cigital has become the leader in Software Risk Management
solutions, helping clients to develop and deploy software that is
reliable, safe, and secure. Mr. Payne is a recognized expert in Software
Risk Management and has published more than 30 papers and given in
excess of 40 invited lectures on the business aspects of software
failure. He is an alumnus of the MindShare program, an invitation-only
program that selects the most promising high-tech business leaders in
the DC area and teaches them how to make their company a business
success. Mr. Payne holds a BS in Computer Science from Allegheny College
and an MS in Computer Science from The College of William and Mary. He
is a past ACM National Lecturer and the co-Founder of the Northern
Virginia Chapter of the IEEE Computer Society. He is also a member of
the Loudoun County Environmental Council, a set of local business
leaders working to reduce the environmental impact of growth within
Loudoun County, Virginia ‘ the second fastest-growing county in the
country.
