James L. Conway

JAMES L. CONWAY, Chief Executive Officer and Director of Netsmart,
earned his MBA at New York Institute of Technology. Mr. Conway is
responsible for the coordination of strategic financial direction and
operating outcome of Netsmart and Creative Socio Medics. He also chairs
the newly formed NTST Executive Committee that coordinates business
objectives, which include acquisition strategy and new business
opportunities. Mr. Conway works closely with the divisional heads in
benchmarking operational activities that control plan performance. Mr.
Conway spent the majority of his career with ITT. He was a Vice
President and the Director of a number of ITT finance and marketing
subsidiaries whose business mission was to create strategic financial
support for the company’s marketing direction of new products and
services. Mr. Conway brings many years of financial and operating
management experience to Netsmart. From 1993 to 1998, he was President
of a Long Island-based manufacturer of specialty vending equipment for
postal, telecommunications and other industries. Prior experience
included consulting to a Long Island-based defense-manufacturing firm.
During his tenure at ITT, Mr. Conway was a major contributor to the
growth of the finance company’s total assets from $300 million to in
excess of $1 billion.
