JAMES K. WICKLUND is a Managing Director of Dain Rauscher Wessels in
Dallas and is currently the head of Energy Research Group and the Senior
Oilfield Services Analyst. He follows a broad group of companies
including the seismic industry, onshore driller, offshore construction,
transportation, oilfield serv-ices, workover and oilfield equipment. Mr.
Wicklund began his career as a field geologist for Western Geo-physical.
He was also associated with Sun Oil Co. and McCord-Lewis Energy Serv-
ices. He seconded to the World Bank where he helped develop petroleum
legislation for West African governments and was operations manager for
North Africa. He then joined the financial services industry at
Jefferies & Co. Mr. Wicklund earned his Bachelor’s degree from Southern
Methodist University in Dallas.
