George Matthews

GEORGE MATTHEWS is Chief Executive Officer of Sherwood International
Plc. A computer science graduate, George joined Sherwood International
in 1981 as a business consultant. Having held a variety of
directorships including Director of Life Systems and Director of
Insurance group, he became Client Services Director in 1990. In 1992,
he became Sherwood International’s Chief Executive. During his time as
Chief Executive, George has implemented a new focused strategy which has
seen the company turn around from a GBP 2 million loss and net debt of
GBP 3.5 million in 1993 to a GBP 5.5 million profit and net cash of GBP
15 million in 1998.
