Gary Mittleman

GARY MITTLEMAN was named President and CEO of Plug Power, Inc. upon the
company’s formation in 1997. Prior to spearheading the creation of Plug
Power, he was responsible for DTE Energy’s business development efforts,
where he made equity investments in energy-related companies and
structured several utility joint ventures. Earlier in his career, Mr.
Mittleman created new business ventures for Ameritech and helped in
restructuring American Can’s core business segments. While at Booz,
Allen & Hamilton, he specialized in marketing and distribution
strategies for the firm’s commercial consulting practice. Mr. Mittleman
earned a BA in Mathematics and an MS in Mechanical and Aerospace
Engineering at the University of Rochester. He received an MBA with
honors from the University of Chicago.
