Edward J. Quilty

EDWARD J. QUILTY has served as Chief Executive Officer and President of
Derma Sciences, Inc., since July 2000 and Chairman of the Board since
1996. Derma Sciences is a publicly traded medical products company
engaged in the development, manufacturing and marketing of products for
wound and skin care. From November 1995 until July 2000 Mr. Quilty was
Chairman, CEO and President and Founder of Palatin Technologies Inc., a
publicly traded biopharmaceutical company specializing in the
development of therapeutic and diagnostic drugs. From July 1994 through
1996, Mr. Quilty was CEO and President of MedChem Products Inc., a
publicly traded company, which developed and manufactured specialty
medical products. In November 1995, C.P. Bard acquired the company. From
1992 until 1994, Mr. Quilty was CEO and President of Life Medical
Sciences Inc., a public company he helped establish in 1992 which
developed specialty medical products. MedChem acquired the assets of
Life Medical in 1994. Mr. Quilty began his career in health care in 1974
with Baxter/American Hospital Supply and held several positions in
marketing, strategic planning and general management until his departure
in 1987. From 1987 until 1991 Mr. Quilty was Executive VP and Chief
Operating Officer of McGaw Inc., a pharmaceutical and medical device
company. Mr. Quilty holds an undergraduate degree from Southwest
Missouri University, Springfield, Missouri, and has an MBA from Ohio
University, Athens, Ohio.
