Edgar W. Blanch

EDGAR W. (TED) BLANCH, JR., joined E.W. Blanch Company in 1958, became
Chief Executive Officer in 1977. Mr. Blanch is or has been involved in
numerous other industry, business and community activities including:
Board of Trustees of The College of Insurance; Board of Governors,
Cancer Therapy and Research Center; Former Chairman, Brokers and
Reinsurance Markets Association; and Former Board Member of Northwest
Airlines. He has also been involved in insurance legislation through the
Insurance Federation of Minnesota. He is responsible for developing the
world renowned reinsurance training program at E.W. Blanch Company. He
is the recipient of numerous honors and awards, including a 1996 Ernst &
Young Entrepreneur of the Year finalist.
