E. Andrews Grinstead

E. ANDREWS GRINSTEAD, III has served as Chairman and Chief Executive
Officer since 1991. Prior to joining Hybridon, Mr. Grinstead served in
various operational and executive positions at Eli Lilly, Drexel Burnham
Lambert, Kidder Peabody, and was Managing Director of the Life Sciences
investment banking practice at PaineWebber. Mr. Grinstead is a member of
the Institute of Medicine and the President’s Circle of the National
Academy of Science, and serves as a Director of Pharmos Corporation and
Meridian Technology, Inc. He also serves on the Board of Trustees of the
Massachusetts Biotechnology Council, the Institute of Human Virology and
the Albert B. Sabin Vaccine Foundation. Mr. Grinstead received an AB
from Harvard College, a JD from the University of Virginia School of Law
and an MBA from Harvard Business School.
