David S Joseph

DAVID S JOSEPH has been Chairman of Orthovita Inc since May 2000, after
having previously served as President and Chief Executive Officer since
1993. He has also served as a Director of Orthovita since 1993. Mr
Joseph Co-founded Surgical Laser Technologies Inc in 1985, a company
that became publicly-traded in 1989, and served as its Chairman from
1985 to 1993 and as its Chief Executive Officer from 1985 until 1991. He
was also a Co-founder and Chief Executive Officer of Site Microsurgical
Systems, an ophthalmic surgical device company acquired by Johnson &
Johnson in 1983. He is a member of the Boards of Highway to Health, a
private Internet health and travel company; Animas Corporation, a
private diabetes device company; and Morphotek Inc, a genomic platform
technology company. He received a BS Degree from King’s College in
Pennsylvania and an MBA from Xavier University in Ohio in Health Care
Administration.
