DAVID M. MARTIN is Chairman of the Board of Ivanhoe Energy, Inc. Prior
to joining Ivanhoe, he was President & CEO of Occidental Oil & Gas
Corporation of California from 1986 to 1996. Mr. Martin also was former
Executive Vice-President and a Director of Occidental Petroleum
Corporation, and a Director of Canadian Occidental Petroleum. A
geologist, he has 39 years of international experience in the oil and
gas industry, 26 of them in senior management positions with Occidental
Petroleum Corporation.
