David J. M. Erskine

DAVID J. M. ERSKINE has served as President and Chief Executive Officer
of CSS Industries, Inc. since June, 1999. Prior to joining CSS, he was
President and Chief Executive Officer of Scott Paper Limited from 1996
to 1999, following his promotion from Chief Financial Officer, a
position he held from 1995 to 1996. He joined Scott Paper Company in
1974, holding a number of financial, operating and managerial positions
of increasing responsibility. He began his career in 1968 as a
Commercial Credit Trainee and Methods Analyst for Philadelphia National
Bank, before moving to INA Corporation, where he held positions as
Director, Corporate Finance; Director, Treasury Operations; and
Director, Securities Clearance. He received his MBA from The Wharton
School in 1979 and a BA in German Literature with an emphasis in
Economics and accounting from Muhlenberg College in 1968.
