David J. Anderson

DAVID J. ANDERSON joined ITT Industries, Inc. as Senior Vice President
and Chief Financial Officer in December 1999. Mr. Anderson is
responsible for all aspects of financial management and reporting, as
well as communicating with the financial community about ITT Industries.
As a member of the company’s Executive Committee, he is also responsible
for helping set the company’s strategic direction. Mr. Anderson has more
than 20 years of international corporate finance experience. He came to
ITT Industries from Newport News Shipbuilding where he was Senior Vice
President and Chief Financial Officer. Mr. Anderson successfully led the
effort to establish Newport News Shipbuilding as a stand-alone public
company, negotiating the terms and conditions of its spin-off from
Tenneco, and managing the company’s listing on the New York Stock
Exchange. Prior to that, he was Senior Vice President and Chief
Financial Officer of the tobacco group at RJR Nabisco, and has also held
senior financial positions with The Quaker Oats Company and Kraft, Inc.
Mr. Anderson is a graduate of Indiana University and received an MBA
from the University of Chicago.
