David F. Bolender

DAVID F. BOLENDER is CEO, President and Chairman of the Board of
Directors of Protocol Systems. Mr. Bolender brings extensive executive
and administrative experience to Protocol. In addition to spending two
years as a member of the Company’s Board of Directors, he is currently
Chairman of the Board of Electro Scientific Industries. Mr. Bolender
also spent eight years as president of Pacific Power & Light Company and
another three years as president for PacificCorp Electric Operations
Group and Utah Power. Prior to Pacific Power, he spent twelve years with
Westinghouse Electric Corporation managing construction of power plants
and has also worked in nuclear engineering and reactor operations for
General Electric Company. Mr. Bolender is also on the Boards of
Directors of Goldendale Aluminum Company, Benson Industries and Micro
Monitors, Inc. Mr. Bolender holds a petroleum engineering degree from
the Colorado School of Mines.
