D. F. McNease

D. F. MCNEASE, President and CEO of Rowan Companies, Inc., has
been with the company for 29 years. He is a graduate of the
University of Southern Mississippi and the Columbia University
Executive Program. He has served in the Drilling Division as a
Barge Engineer, Driller, Rig Superintendent and Manager, both in
the US and abroad, before moving into executive management
positions. He has been active in the evolution of various
drilling rig and equipment designs and technology through the
development of the cantilever jack-ups (116 Class, Gorilla Class
and the new Tarzan Class). He has worked to advance the drilling
industry with the International Association of Drilling
Contractors, the National Ocean Industries Association, and the
American Petroleum Institute, serving on various committees.
