Charles E. Shalvoy

CHARLES E. SHALVOY joined Conductus, Inc. in 1994 as President, Chief
Executive Officer and Director. Prior to joining Conductus, Mr. Shalvoy
was President and Chief Operating Officer of Therma-Wave, Inc. (a
manufacturer of semiconductor production equipment). While at Therma-
Wave, Mr. Shalvoy expanded the company’s international sales and
increased revenue by more than 30% per year. In addition, he has an
extensive background in senior management positions with Aehr Test
Systems, Emerson Electric Corp., and Raychem Corporation. Mr. Shalvoy
holds a BS in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Notre Dame
and an MBA from Stanford University.
