Bruce M. Bales

BRUCE M. BALES is president of messaging business of Glenayre
Technologies, Inc., and is responsible for operations, engineering and
product development as well as sales, marketing and business
development. Mr. Bales has over 20 years of experience in
telecommunications and messaging, including a number of years with the
Octel messaging division of Lucent Technologies. While at Lucent, Mr.
Bales was responsible for products generating over $300 million in
messaging revenue, and he was instrumental in the development and launch
of Lucent’s AnyPath’ messaging platform. Mr. Bales has held senior
positions with AT&T’s Bell Labs and was a general manager for Lucent’s
Voice Processing Applications Division. Prior to joining Glenayre, he
was a vice president with Strategic Alliance WorldGroup, a high tech
sales and marketing firm. Mr. Bales has been granted 36 US patents which
cover a variety of technical areas including distributed switching, call
routing, multimedia call control and wireless services.
