Brian R. Hedges

BRIAN R. HEDGES has been Executive Vice President and Chief Financial
Officer of Russel Metals Inc. since 1994. Mr. Hedges received his Honors
Commerce Degree in 1974 from Carleton University in Ottawa, and has been
a Chartered Accountant since 1976. Mr. Hedges’ career in the
telecommunications industry progressed from Controller of Gandalf
Technologies to Chief Financial Officer of Teleglobe Inc. Teleglobe is
Canada’s international telecommunications carrier.
