Brian H Whitty

BRIAN H WHITTY FCA, age 47, was appointed Chief Executive of South
Staffordshire Group Plc on 1st July 1998 having joined the group as
Finance Director in July 1995. After qualifying as a Chartered
Accountant in 1977, he held senior financial appointments within
independent UK quoted groups in the construction and wider industrial
sectors before joining Apricot Computers Plc in 1988. He was appointed
to their board as Finance Director in 1990 and was involved in the
development of ACT Group Plc as a global software and services business
following the sale of its hardware division.
