Barry A. Rosen

BARRY A. ROSEN has been the Vice President-Finance and Chief Financial
Officer of Schnitzer Steel Industries, Inc., since 1982. As such, he is
responsible for all accounting and reporting, treasury, information
systems, tax and investor relations functions of the company. He helped
take the company public in 1993. He has served on numerous non-profit
boards, including United Way and the Jewish Federation of Portland.
