Antoinette Hunziker-Ebneter

ANTOINETTE HUNZIKER-EBNETER is CEO of virt-x. From 1997 through 2000, she was CEO of the SWX Swiss Exchange and Head of its Markets Division and from 1995 through 1997 she headed the Swiss Exchange’s Management Services Division. She is now also Head of SWX Group
During her business management studies at the University of St. Gallen, Antoinette Hunziker-Ebneter worked on an interim basis as an assistant in the securities sales department of Goldman Sachs. After receiving her degree from USG, she began her professional career as an options trader at Citibank in Zurich. In 1987, she published a book entitled “Strategies with Stock Options”.
Her professional capabilities and management know-how gained depth from 1987 to 1992 at Bank Leu AG in Zurich, where she was head of the securities trading and sales divisions. She subsequently became an independent advisor and was instrumental in the establishment phase of the “Swiss Electronic Exchange” (EBS) project.
Antoinette Hunziker-Ebneter is also a member of the board of SIS SegaIntersettle AG and, until the end of 2000, presided over the Securities Commission and the Index Commission of SWX.
