Allen J. Carlson joined Sun Hydraulics Corporation in March 1996 and served as
Vice President from January 2000 until May 2000, when he was named President and
Chief Executive Officer. From October 1977 to March 1996, Mr. Carlson held
various engineering, marketing and management positions for Vickers
Incorporated, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Trinova Corporation. He is a graduate
of the Milwaukee School of Engineering and the Advanced Management Program at
the Harvard Business School. Mr. Carlson is First Vice Chair and a member of the
executive committee of the board of directors of the National Fluid Power
Association, and he serves on the board of regents of the Milwaukee School of
