Alexis Borisy

ALEXIS BORISY is President and Chief Executive Officer of
CombinatoRx, Inc. In 2000, Mr. Borisy led a group of Harvard and
MIT faculty and alumni to found CombinatoRx. Since then, under
Mr. Borisy’s direction, CombinatoRx has emerged as one of the
most successful new companies in biopharmaceuticals. The company
has raised over $60 million in venture capital, recruited a team
of experienced executives, scientists, and drug developers,
created a robust pipeline of clinical and pre-clinical products,
and has grown from two to over 60 employees. Prior to founding
CombinatoRx, Mr. Borisy was an industry consultant, working with
senior executives at pharmaceutical and biotech companies in the
areas of corporate strategy, portfolio management, and business
development. Mr. Borisy graduated with honors from the University
of Chicago, receiving a Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry. As a
Howard Hughes Predoctoral Fellow at Harvard University, he earned
his Master’s in Chemistry, working under the direction of Dr.
Stuart Schreiber in one of the world’s most prestigious chemical
biology labs.
