A. Bayard Clark

A. BAYARD CLARK is Executive Vice President, Chief Financial
Officer and Treasurer of Commerce Bancshares, Inc. Mr. Clark
holds an AB from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill
and a JD from the St. Louis University School of Law. With 30
years in the banking industry, Mr. Clark directs the Mergers and
Acquisitions division of the bank and chairs the Asset/Liability
Management Committee.
