Mark Allsup – Fairplace Consulting Plc (fco.l)

MARK ALLSUP is the Chairman of Fairplace Consulting Plc. He started his career at Chemical Bank after graduating in Law from Cambridge University. He subsequently worked at Grindlays Bank, before joining DC Gardner & Co, the international banking training company, in 1984. He was appointed Chief Executive of DC Gardner Group Plc on its flotation as a public company in 1988, which then entered the outplacement market through the acquisition of Coutts Consultants Ltd in 1989. In 1992, Mark Allsup co-founded Fairplace Consulting, a City of London-based outplacement and career management consultancy, which became a public company on the Alternative Investment Market (AIM) on 28 July 1997. He provides career counselling to senior clients, who may typically be seeking Board level appointments whether on an Executive or Non- Executive Director basis. In 1999, Fairplace entered into a Tokyo-based joint venture providing outplacement services with Select Appointments (now part of the Vedior Group) and Staff Services, a major Japanese staffing company.
