An experienced strategic manager of high-growth companies, MICHAEL
BROCHU joined Primus as its President and Chief Executive Officer in
October 1997. He was appointed Chairman of the Board of Directors in
February 1999. Prior to joining Primus, Mr. Brochu was President and
Chief Operating Officer of Sierra On-Line Inc., one of the world's
largest publishers of interactive entertainment, educational, and home
productivity software. He also served as Senior Vice President of Sierra
On-Line's parent, CUC International Inc. During his tenure at Sierra On-
Line, Mr. Brochu spearheaded efforts that increased sales over 300% in
two years and led negotiations for the sale of Sierra to CUC
International for $1.1 billion. Before he joined Sierra On-Line, he was
Chief Financial Officer and Chief Operating Officer at Burlington
Environmental, Inc., a company he transitioned from a $27 million
regional environmental firm into a $135 million, national full-service
company. Mr. Brochu is a graduate of the University of Texas at El Paso
with dual degrees in Accounting and Finance. He completed the MIT
Executive Financial Management Program in 1987 and graduated from the
Stanford Executive Advanced Financial Management Program in 1988. He is
