Howard Levine – Family Dollar Stores Inc (fdo)

Howard R. Levine has served as President and Chief Executive Officer of Family Dollar Stores, Inc. since 1997 and 1998, respectively. Previously, he served in various executive management positions with the company, including Chief Operating Officer, Senior Vice President of Merchandising and Advertising, and Vice President - General Merchandise Manager of Softlines. From 1981 to 1987, Mr. Levine worked in other capacities in the company's merchandising department. Mr. Levine served as President of Best Price Clothing Stores, Inc., a chain of ladies' apparel stores, from 1988 to 1992. He worked independently as an investment manager from 1992 to 1996.
