Edward Townsend – Local Financial Corporation (lfin)

EDWARD TOWNSEND is Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Local Oklahoma Bank and its parent, Local Financial Corporation (NASDAQ: LFIN). Mr. Townsend began his career after graduating from the University of Texas at Austin with a BA in Economics, a BBA in Accounting and an MBA in Finance. He was Vice Chairman of First National Bank in Dallas, where he held several major positions over a 20-year period, including Chief Financial Officer and Head of Corporate Lending. Mr. Townsend joined Local Oklahoma Bank as Chairman, President and CEO in 1988. He left in 1992 and purchased Green Country Bank in northeast Oklahoma. In August 1997, a group led by Mr. Townsend negotiated the purchase of Local from the previous owners and later merged Green Country Bank into Local. Profile
